If you discover asbestos in your home it is not necessary to panic and leave the residence immediately or at all for that matter.  Asbestos is perfectly safe if it is undisturbed - only when it is disturbed and fibres are released into the atmosphere does it become a health risk.

If you find asbestos in your own home you have two options you can hire a company to remove the asbestos or you can remove it yourself.  Hiring  a company to do the work

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer which in most cases is almost certainly caused by exposure to asbestos.  The complaint affects on average 1 in 1,000,000 people although the highest incidences are found in Britain, Belgium and Australia with incidences of 30 in 1,000,000.
